Horacio Rueda
Welcome!I am an economist working in macroeconomics, development, labor, and trade.
My research examines how firms, markets, and economic structure shape aggregate outcomes and their distribution. I study how imperfect competition and market power affect firms, labor markets, productivity, and the distribution of income, as well as how economic development is accompanied by the reallocation of workers and economic activity across sectors.
I completed my PhD in Economics at the University of Houston in 2026. I am currently an Assistant Professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
